Day 1: Let's kick off this adventure in Pula!
11th Jul, 2023
We’ve arrived in Pula and are checking into our hotel, feeling excited for the adventures ahead! After settling in, we head out to explore the city. We make sure to visit the famous Pula Arena, Roman Forum, and Temple of Augustus. For dinner, we try some local seafood and traditional Croatian dishes at one of the local restaurants.
Day 2: Time to hit the beach!
12th Jul, 2023
Today is all about relaxation and fun in the sun! We spend the day at one of the nearby beaches, like Bijeca Beach or Punta Verudela Beach. We enjoy activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, or snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. For lunch, we either grab a bite at a beachside restaurant or pack a picnic and soak up the sun.
Day 3: Discovering Istria
13th Jul, 2023
Today, we’re heading out on a day trip to explore the Istria region. We visit the charming hilltop town of Motovun, known for its truffles, and then stop by the picturesque seaside town of Rovinj, with its narrow streets and colorful houses. For dinner back in Pula, we may try some local truffle dishes.
Day 4: Cheers to wine tasting!
14th Jul, 2023
Today we’re visiting some of the local wineries in the Istria region for a wine tasting experience. We learn about the wine-making process and taste some of the famous Croatian wines. For dinner, we have the option to stay at one of the wineries for a meal or head back to Pula.
Day 5: Foodies unite for a Pula Food Tour
15th Jul, 2023
We’re taking a food tour of Pula today, sampling some of the best local foods such as prsut (Croatian prosciutto), cheese, olive oil, and wine. We visit local markets and shops to learn about Croatian cuisine and culture. For dinner, we go to a local restaurant to try traditional Croatian dishes like buzara (seafood stew).
Day 6: We're off to Venice!
16th Jul, 2023
Today, we’re taking a ferry to Venice, Italy! After a three-hour journey, we check into our hotel or accommodation in Venice. We start exploring the city, making sure to see St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, and the Rialto Bridge. For dinner, we try some Italian specialties like pizza, pasta, or gelato.
Day 7: Enjoying the Venice canals
17th Jul, 2023
Today we take a boat tour of the canals in Venice, seeing the city from the water. We visit some of the famous Venetian islands such as Murano (known for its glass-making) or Burano (known for its colourful houses and lace-making). For lunch, we try some Venetian seafood or cicchetti (small plates) at a local restaurant.
Day 8: Back to Pula
We take the ferry back to Pula today, excited to spend more time exploring the city or relaxing at the hotel. We may take the opportunity to do some souvenir shopping or visit some museums such as the Archaeological Museum of Istria, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria, or the Aquarium Pula. For dinner, we try some more traditional Croatian dishes or return to a favourite from earlier in the trip.
Day 9: Shopping and museums in Pula
Today, we’re spending the day shopping and visiting museums in Pula. We can check out the Archaeological Museum of Istria, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria, or the Aquarium Pula. For dinner, we can try some more traditional Croatian dishes or return to a favourite from earlier in the trip.
Day 10: Departure day
it’s time to say goodbye to Pula. We check out of our hotel and depart for our next adventure. What a trip it has been!
What's Included
- Airport pick-up: We will wait for everyone to arrive, then head to our accommodation together.
- Accommodation: It will be something like an entire house or villa with a mix of single, double and sofa beds, and shared communal areas.
- Meals: Simple, yet delicious, set meals at restaurants or pre-organised provided. Drinks are extra at your own choice.
- All major activities: that includes the ferry ride over to Venice and back, entry to selected sights and pre-booked tours. There will be time for you to do extra things by yourself.
- Airport drop-off: We all depart together from the accommodation to the airport
