Salar de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flat. Not many know that in the middle of it there are a few “islands”. They are made of very unusual looking formations.
WHERE TO STAY IN THE SALT FLAT
Since the salt flat is quite far away from all ciies, many hotels have been built over the time. A lot of them are made of salt blocks and are very popular tourist attractions.
Just don’t lick the walls. Seriously, that’s an actual rule.
HOW TO GET THERE
It’s best to book a tour beforehand. Most of these are basically the same – 3 days, 2 nights. Normally the tours cost around 700 pesos bolivianos. But it’s important to pay attention to good reviews, since the tours can be quite exhausting. But it is definitely worth the trip!

Make sure to get some picture inspirations before you go! Like taking some toys for example.
