- BOCA DE YUMA
It’s a piscatorial town just around the Caribbean sea. It’s encircled by a precipice. Noted as a village for fishermen, fresh fish is still daily caught in the river. One of the attractions of the Boca de Yuma are the many restaurants around. Having lunch here is an excellent idea as you get a chance of having an unobstructed view of the Caribbean Sea.
You can take beautiful photographs from this end. You’ll never know that watching fishermen do their fishing thing can be fun till you pay a visit to the Boca de Yuma. This adventure is sure to engulf you into a cultural life even if it’s just for some hours. It is not an everyday adventure so, the knowledge of that makes it special.
- LA BANDERA
Not a place! In fact, it’s a traditional Dominican meal! La Bandera is a delicacy made of rice, beans, and meat. White rice is made and then the beans are made into stewed beans and are served with either stewed or roasted beef or chicken. The look of this meal is sure to leave you salivating and it tastes just as great.
- LOS HAITISES NATIONAL PARK
Founded in 1976, the Los Haitises is a place to be. The Leo Haitises is a massive Park and a nature haven. Found in the northwestern part of Punta Cana, this park is a nature preserve at its peak. Many rivers have their source from this park. A large chunk of this park is used for wildlife which explains the varieties of species that the Los Haitises is home to.
Los Haitises features: Off the grid beaches, hideouts for picaroons, Taiyo earth hole drawings, a colony of mangrove forests in their pristine form and some other hidden beauty. Due to its environmentally friendly nature, it was named a World Heritage site of UNESCO.
